Routine Dental Cleaning

Routine dental cleanings and periodic exams are performed in our office every 6 months. During the appointment, our hygienists will remove plaque and tartar, polish and floss your teeth, and take x-rays when necessary.

Periodontal Services

Probing depths, tartar below the gum line, and loose teeth are examined by our dentists to diagnose periodontal disease. Treatment for periodontal disease includes scaling and root planing, a cleaning that is more stringent and is done more frequently than a routine dental cleaning.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Our cosmetic dental services allow our patients to achieve the smile they have always dreamed about. We are able to enhance your smile in a variety of ways, including tooth-colored fillings, tooth colored crowns, teeth whitening and laser soft tissue removal.

Sealants are a preventative dental service used to cover the deep pits and fissures in permanent molars to prevent decay. Sealants are primarily placed on permanent molars as they erupt in a child’s mouth. They are maintained throughout childhood and can last into adulthood. Sealants are a flowable resin that is applied to the deep pits and fissures of teeth, protecting the teeth from harmful acids and plaque buildup commonly found in the mouth. The application of sealants is a simple procedure requiring only a short visit at our office.

This orthodontic treatment consists of a series of clear, custom, removable aligners. These aligners are created used 3D computer imaging technology and provide you with the same benefits as traditional braces, without the brackets or wires. Because each set of aligners is clear, it provides you with a discreet, effective way to straighten your teeth.

Each pair of aligners is worn for roughly two weeks before you move onto the next set. With each progressive set, your teeth will gradually shift into the correct position. Because the aligners are removable, you can eat and drink your favorite foods, and brush and floss like normal. This treatment lasts anywhere from nine to 15 months.

Veneers are a thin porcelain or ceramic restoration that is applied and bonded to the front of your existing tooth structure. Porcelain veneers are an excellent choice for correcting gaps between teeth, crooked or misaligned teeth, or discoloration resistant to dental bleaching.

Crowns and Bridges

Crowns and Bridges

Crowns are necessary when a tooth has lost a significant amount of tooth structure and cannot be restored with a filling material. Crowns cover the remaining tooth and restore its function, strength, and esthetics. Several crown material options are available, including non-metal crowns. Your dentist will discuss these options on an individual basis depending on the area of the mouth that needs a crown. Bridges can be utilized when a tooth is missing but the teeth around it are not. The bridge looks like the patient’s natural teeth and is permanently cemented into place.

Composite restorations, also known as tooth-colored fillings are available to restore front and back teeth. Amalgam restorations, also known as silver fillings, are available to restore back teeth. Your dentist will discuss restorative options with you and recommend what is best for your individual situation.

Endodontic Therapy (Root Canals)

Endodontics (Root Canal Therapy) is necessary when the pulp, the soft tissue inside the tooth, becomes inflamed or infected. The inflammation or infection can have a variety of causes: deep decay, multiple dental procedures on the tooth, or a crack or chip in the tooth. In addition, an injury to a tooth may cause pulp damage even if the tooth has no visible chips or cracks. If pulp inflammation or infection is left untreated, it can cause pain or lead to an abcess.

Signs root canal therapy is needed include pain, prolonged sensitivity to heat or cold, tenderness to touch or chewing, discoloration of the tooth, swelling, and drainage. Sometime, however, there are no symptoms.

When endodontic therapy is performed, the inflamed or infected pulp is removed, the inside of the canal is carefully cleaned and shaped, then this space inside the tooth is filled and sealed with special materials to allow the tooth to heal. After healing is complete, a crown or other restoration is placed to protect and restore the tooth to full function.

Sleep Apnea & Snoring Treatments

Sleep apnea and snoring are conditions which affect many patients. Both of these cause disruptions to you or your partner’s sleep cycles — sleep apnea is a condition in which you stop breathing and then restart during your sleep. Snoring is the sound caused by obstructed airways and may be the first sign of sleep apnea.

To improve your sleep patterns, restore energy, and help you maintain an open airway while you sleep, we can make you a custom oral appliance. These are worn like athletic mouthguards or retainers and provide additional support for your jaw. Our team will work with you to make sure this treatment is right for you.

Our practice supplies patients with oral appliances from SomnoMed. Our airway metrics technology will help set the oral appliance to the most ideal position to help ensure a snore free night. To learn more about their products and how it can help you, please visit their website.
